ME post 2015

Hi wanderlusters,

Unlike many I do not believe that the “About” page in a blog should remain the same. You change as time changes and so does your personality. So why have the same about description for your blog year after year? One year can sure bring about a number of changes in a persons character, living, thinking, habits and what not. Continue reading to find out what has changed and what hasn’t.

I am a silent ranter a.k.a Thinker, still a reader, my brain still harbors a music library, brand new Potterhead, feminist and a self proclaimed opposite of a dimwit ūüėČ

If you have had a talk with me recently or anytime in the year 2015, you will find I have become extremely opinionated. Confused and lost too!

I have found that being confused can make a billion things crystal clear once you see both the sides of the same coin. So be confused! Things will eventually clear up.

Internship changed my perception on a zillion things. Its one thing i will never forget about the year 2015.

Also oil pastels are now my tools for artistic expression.

Around August-September last year I started watching poetry slams. The performances were beyond expectation. I had no clue there existed a medium to express your opinions and views.. spin out stories with hidden morals.. to reach out to a larger audience. The topics they speak on range from childhood, bullying to depression, feminism and social issues. Its called spoken word performances. I have become a fan of this medium of self-expression.

I have started to observe how very much I am inclined towards the study of law, international relations, social sciences and human psychology. (Seriously why am i doing an engineering course?)

My infatuation for law existed since I was a teenager but what intensified this further were Social injustices in the society and a TV show – “How to get away with murder“. Though the TV show deals with troubled life of a criminal lawyer the social injustice which the twisted judiciary system adheres to everywhere is appalling and needs to be changed.

My fight against a world where EVERYTHING is digital is getting tougher.

Everyone wants everything automated with minimum manual human interference. Some of the latest tech accomplishments have been a joke. There is now a machine that will fold your clothes. It takes more time than a kid would have taken to fold a shirt. So what? Its a machine so it will cost you thousands of dollars and whats more? U can’t see how it folds it.

Everyone wants to roam about on streets with a brightly lit screen casting a ghastly glow on the faces of their owners ignoring the natural shine of the sunlight or moonlight glow which casts beautiful lights in the sky and on everything around us.

A humanoid robot is one more thing i call junk.. like why on Earth would you want a humanoid robot?! They would crash if they had a sense of feeling called confusion! Apple’s Siri is a different level of non-sense.

I have the utmost respect for tech inventions that really help simplify our lives (I sincerely do) but not to an extent where we cease to stop interacting with humans and disrespect the traits that make us human. W.R.T this I recommend you watch a TV show called “Black mirror” and a movie “Exmachina”.

Those are more or less all the things that changed me and changed the way i handle/react to things.

As always..this blog is.where.i.rant.

Finally i strongly recommend you to – once in a while – BE CONFUSED! ¬†ūüôā

Year gone by 2015

The year 2015 officially comes to an end today. The past year has been everything i hoped for and occasionally things i didn’t hope for. What is life without a bit of everything?

It has been remarkable eventful, educational (in more than one way) and surprisingly memorable – for all the right and the wrong reasons ūüėõ

I would describe this year as the almost deadly roller coaster ride that i am happy i enjoyed and survived. Most of it had to do with me entering the final year of my bachelor’s degree (Which implicitly causes a series of chain reactions), being social and the rest to “shaking it off” – like Taylor Swift asked us all to. It has definitely been a year of self reflection. In terms of realizing what I stand for – morally and professionally , building self respect, exploring new possibilities, jotting down goals and big chunk of it to identifying the people who make my life worth living and being thankful to them.

Also, I completed a whole year of blogging!! I never thought i would be able to make it.

In the end I would like to say that I am happy to be alive along with my loving family and friends, believe in a better future and a better world!

I wish this year has lesser disasters, lesser hate, lesser accidents, greater success, greater prosperity, better health and loads of love. Happy New Year!!

I am gonna leave you with this famous dialogue. I know most of you will be sick and tired of hearing this by now.. I am gonna say it anyway.. This new year MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!¬†ūüėč ūüėĀ

I am not so good with dates so this will remind me of what happened when. I am also going to do a “Year gone by 2014” on myself.. just to keep in memory what went past me this year and appreciating it.¬†¬†And that’s that. ¬†Mention any other events that you wished were posted here.

People run to safety!!

“The development of full artificial intelligence (AI) could spell the end of the human race.” So says Stephen Hawking.

Considering the fact that there exist supercomputers that are way smarter that quarter of the world population put together, designed to surpass human intelligence. We must realize that there is a potential risk of it posing as a serious survival question for humans. You might not enjoy this unless you have it on you bucket list to see this world turning into a Sci-Fi movie.

It seems ironic that a person so highly benefiting from AI vocalised such an opinion. Humans are curious to find out as to how they can pass on their intelligence onto a machine which may or may not transcend the intelligence we acquit it with. It is also worth mentioning that though we may program machines with rules and guidelines while they may perform strategical analysis as reflexes. It is unlikely that they would turn into armies with human qualities like Jealousy, greed, conceit , etc. all essential abilities needed to over-throne us in this human dominated world.

Or did Mr.Stephen’s new speech synthesis system just warn us of the impending war in future (Conspiracy!) !! (And¬†look AI is already¬†taking a toll on us¬†leading to human crisis.)

AHHHH!! People run to safety!! I might as well add Sci-Fi movie turn real to my bucket list. We might as well ask for a man VS humanoid instead of Man VS Wild to be aired on TV for our survival. What say?

I came into this world crying…

Stumbling mumbling here I am rejoicing ,
kicking and growing without you knowing ,
that I am giggling, with someone called my sibling,
Living in this home for 9 months
I have, really find it soothing ,
When you;re singing ,
a lullaby for me .
When you are sleeping ,
The only sound I hear is of your heart beating ,
So far so good is what I am thinking,
But now i sense a new profound feeling ,
With you trying trying and trying ,
I¬†came into this world crying …
