Phenomena of lying

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Sweet Little Lies.”

The phenomena of lying depends a lot on to whom u are “lying” to. The more familiar you are to a person its more likely that you know their reactions to a given situation.
So if you know that your telling them the truth will not change their behaviour towards you or that you will be treated for what you have done.. if its bad you brace yourself for the reprimand or the silent treatment.. well if its good you would never have told a lie .
For the debate about there being a “good” lie and a “bad” lie.. i guess it all depends on the circumstances.
Even if you have told a lie its better you clarify it sometime in the near future since a part of anger that flares up is because they were informed about the truth not from the person whose every word they trust but from some random person.

So speak the truth i believe in it.
