In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Happy Happy Joy Joy.”
Tears of joy?? I havent had one yet. I hope that doen’t mean i am brutal or heartless, does it?
The daily post prompted this thinking we would all have one.. but methinks its not true. I dont have anything to write on this one 😦 Thats sad !! Cause this is going to be my last post this year. I was waiting all these days hoping DP will put up some new prompt.. atleast on new years eve, so that i can write a good past year last day post !!
I guess The Dialy Post employees has gone on a vacation and are enjoying it. While we pull our hairs and bite our nails in anticipation of a “new” prompt. Maybe if we had a new prompt today from the Daily Post i would have had my first tears of joy. *Tsch tsch* They didn’t do it.
Congratulations to everyone who have managed to get past through the year 2014 and stepping into the year 2015. Congratulations on adding another year to your lives. 🙂 🙂 I hope this year brings you (tears of ) joy and success. 🙂
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Cliché.”
The prompt, neither did it show up in our mails nor did it find its way to my wordpress feed today.
I thought it to be unusual and visited the daily post website and realised “Damn!! WordPress is having problems again !! ” So i was there and was looking at some of the posted responses. I am new to WP and was goingng through a few responses by the long term WP users and i noticed they weren’t pleased with this sort of prompt and some stated that the repeated prompts weren’t helping.
Heres what I am thinking. The reason why this prompt didn’t find its way to our in boxes was because most of us would look into our in boxes and respond. (My WP app doesn‘t work well for that purpose) And only the old folks would know about this hapless WP scenario. So lesser the people the better. Broadcasting it would highlight their level of ignorance. The newbies wouldn’t know about it which would spare them some shame. They are used to the chatter of long term WP users. Aah.. now i see.. a bird in hand is worth two in a bush !! (Per.fect backdrop). This might as well be the writing on the wall. 😛
At the end WP gets to put up a prompt and people respond. All is well that ends well. 😉
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “My Hero.”.
Today’s Prompt: Who’s your hero? Tell us a story about why that person plays such an important role in your life.
My hero? Not sure i have one. As a kid i had lots of them.. spiderman, wolverine, Shaktimaan, powerpuff girls 😛 Always saving the world from other wicked and harmful beings. But over the years the definition of a hero has changed for me from someone who fights for a cause to someone who finds strength in peace and hapiness. A person distinguished by rare
courage and nobility.
There are a number of modern society heroes – I am quite sure some of theirs names will be in some blogs today – that people look up to and call them their heroes. But everyoe needs to have a special hero. The one they could regard as their own. A distinct individual who would do exceptional things for you. They don’t have to be all muscular like superman or spin out webs from wrists or pounder people with guns, ammo and blows. Just someone who does the unimaginable for you, saves you, protects you from the rest of the mean world (somethimes this mean person is you).
So right now i am my own hero, willing to do anything and everything that makes me feel better and happy. I know a few people reading this might say – ah what a self centered person! – But hey.. I don’t have anyone in particular with required mandate as of now. 😉 Till then the hero for me is just ME. 🙂 🙂
Heres hoping you find your hero too. 🙂 Cheers.
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Secret Santa.”
You get to choose one gift — no price restrictions — for any person you want. The caveat? You have to give it anonymously. What gift would you give, and to whom?
Have heard and seen a lot of this secret santa. The earlist of ones that i got to know were at school. The ones that people did at school were funny.
All students had to assemble in ground for morning assembly and during this time when the class was empty people had to sneek out of the assembly to place gifts into their friends bag before the assembly crowd dispersed for their respective classes. You literally had to turn invisible cause you needed to make sure that none of the faculty and none of your friends noticed your absence and god help you if you got company sneeking out with one of your friends to whom you turned secret santa.I mean he or she would keep yelling “Go keep it. Now is the chance”. I have seen people sneeking in the washroom to emerge out at the right time to carefully place gifts. The hardest part was for the ones who opned found their gifts hidden in some corner of their backpacks in the most strict teachers class who captutred the slightest of change in your face muscles. You couldn’t even show surprise and the friend who put it in your bag will be smirking away to glory looking at the controled show of surprise that you emit in small doses. And the gifts people would give.. ranging from oreo cookies, lays chips to stuffed toys. That was what they could afford at that time.
Well whatever i mentioned above never happened with me. So i am quite inexperienced in this field.
What would i give and to whom? I don’t know. May be something that brings a simle on peoples faces knowing someone loves and cares for them. I really don’t know. Too bad at it.
I have no clue whats wrong with me. My exams are going on and i seem to be posting a lot these days. Its been atleast four months since i started this blog and i never have posted so many posts. So what is making me do it right now? *in the middle of my exams*
Its not that i am not serious about it. Its more like i have lost the paitence to prepare for the final exam. Especially the final exam. I rely on whatever i have learnt in the During Semester Assesment -DSA- and a few topics here and there to wite my External Semester Assement -ESA or finals. I dont really believe in marks as such. So it doesnt bother me beyond a point as far as marks are concerned.
Anyone phobic to exams must come and study in India 😉 . I am sure within a year your fears are going to vanish. There are soo many “test” and “exams” it seems like a part of your life. Anyone living in India and doing engineering will understand me. I rather have quality syllabus oriented projects than randomised answer paper writing.
There are more posts to come i guess. For all the sleepless nights spent burning the midnight oil. Bear with me, as i bear the exams.
